Andrew is the founder and Head Instructor at Bright Sparks Bushcraft. He holds a lifelong interest in the outdoors and nature. As a child, he enjoyed Scouts and is now a Scout Leader at the same group he attended over 25 years ago. His hobbies include mountineering, cooking and camping.
After leaving school he studied for a BTEC National Diploma in Distribution Studies with an interest in horticulture. He has run a gardening business since 2004.
Since spending a year at Woodcraft School, and completing the NCFE Level 3 in Bushcraft Leadership, run by the award winning John Rhyder, Andrew has been persuing his passion to teach bushcraft and outdoor skills in a natural enviroment. One of his main aims is to spark others' enthusiasm for bushcraft. He believes that nature-based learning can positively influence everyone.

Bright Sparks Bushcraft has a number of assistant instructors who share Andrew's passion and professionalism. All assistant instructors hold a minimum of:
